Understanding the Significance of God's Hebrew month of Shevat, Jan 19 - Feb 17, 2026
Hello there, cherished community! Welcome to this month's enlightening newsletter where we delve into the significance of God's Hebrew month of Shevat. Prepare to embark on a spiritual journey that will deepen your understanding and appreciation of this sacred time.
Shevat: The Month of Righteousness
Shevat, the 11th month in the Hebrew calendar, is traditionally associated with righteousness. This is a month to develop the plan of sustaining the generations, your children's children. The best question you can ask yourself this month is: "How does my olive tree blossom?" Read and meditate on Psalm 1 this month. It's during this time that the earliest blooming trees in Israel start to blossom, symbolizing a fresh start. How do you embrace renewal in your own life? Look for those who are bringing pitchers of water to you, those who are pouring into your life. The constellation this month is Aquarius (the water carrier). A month where your roots awaken to the living water of life. This month, your righteousness must become your foundation. This is the month to shout, "My blessings are on the way!" That is the key for this month. You must see wagons of supply coming your way. You see the water pots coming to quench your thirst. Close your eyes. Our eyelids were given to us that we might see by faith. We do not walk by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
The Holiday of Tu B'Shevat
Tu B'Shevat, often referred to as the 'New Year for Trees', falls on the 15th day of Shevat. It's a day to appreciate nature and reflect on our responsibilities towards the environment. Have you celebrated Tu B'Shevat before? We'd love to hear about your experiences. This is the time to connect with the trees in your field. Look at your field and see what is planted there. Who is planted in the field of your life? Are the trees in your field ready to bear fruit? Can you water them and help them grow into mighty oaks?
Shevat: A Time for Reflection and Growth
Shevat is also a time for personal reflection and spiritual growth. As the trees begin to bloom, we too can look inward and nurture our spiritual roots. How do you cultivate personal growth during Shevat? Spiritually, you can dust off your story about His glory and share your testimony with someone this month and become skilled enough to share Christ. Physically, we should be strength training daily to guard our temple and our energy for times like these. Mentally, we must be journaling daily to build self awareness. We must have the guts to evaluate our life and the decisions we are making toward excellence and greatness. Personal development is about increasing self awareness. Share your insights and suggest topics you'd like us to cover that can help us all grow together.
Thank you for joining me on this enlightening journey through Shevat. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and continuing this exploration together. Until next time, stay blessed and keep growing.
